This position requires an experience professional who has deployed and supported VMware technologies, and has experience in other technologies focused on networking, backup, OS, and/or storage. As a member of this practice, you will communicate and consult with our client's business and technical personnel, blending with their IT team and working together to help identify potential problems and develop solutions. A day in the life… Work with team members and clients by responding to ticket requests to complete services identified in Service Orders Troubleshoot, diagnose, and remediate issues Provide guidance and recommendations to clients to ensure best practices are followed for: architecture, performance, capacity, and monitoring Assist with deployment of monitoring and management toolsets Work with a variety of clients and supporting different technologies and solutions Act as Service Delivery Manager for set of clients Service as Subject Matter Expert in assisting sale teams to close deals Ownership of improving a Service Offering specific to providing managed services around Virtualization technologies. Act as a presales resource when needed Work with vendors and OEM for escalations Good writing and communication skills Ability to work within a rotating, on-call basis   Position Requirements Required (Rolta AdvizeX OEM Partners) 7+ years’ experience in architecting, implementing and supporting virtualized infrastructures, ideally with a special emphasis on VMware vSphere and as many as possible of the following: Solid experience with a server O/S (Linux / Windows Server) NSX and vSAN Microsoft Hyper-V Current VCP certification with a VCAP Preferred Strong experience implementing best practices in an end user environment Ability to prioritize tasks and work assignments Ability to professionally interact with clients and contractors Understanding of configuring, troubleshooting, and administering IT networking and SAN storage solutions Experience producing business relevant presentations and technical oriented writing Experience with service offering development Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and a minimum of seven (7) years of experience in systems engineering with an emphasis on virtualized environments Core Competencies Passion for learning innovative technologies Ability to break down problems and identify all their facets Flexibility and willingness to do what it takes to get the job done Effective communication skills both internally and externally Highly organized and detail oriented What you’ll get… A career with a company where you will be challenged, respected, and valued.
