ABOUT THE POSITION

The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will play an influential role within the Boxed Water Sales Team. The RSM is responsible for managing the Regional DSD partnerships, as well as any direct reports in his/her territory. The RSM will need to manage our entire distribution system at a Regional level by providing direction according to the Boxed Water sales goals and objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Responsible for management, direction and execution of call points for key regional decision-makers that are serviced by Boxed Water distributor network.
  • Achieve annual plans and KPI's for the region that reflect the agreed upon brand and customer strategies and support delivery of business goals.
  • Translates business strategy into clear and locally executable plans and focus resources accordingly, while protecting brand image, pricing and margins.
  • Effective management of distributors and direct reports.
  • Establish and manage key customer relationships through joint business planning that strengthens and builds on the success of the Boxed Water brand
  • Understand the dynamics of the respective territory, providing insight and direction to develop solutions that promote and build the Boxed Water brand.
  • Responsible for all distributor management and route to market decisions with guidance from the Director of Sales and National Account Team.
  • Schedule, conduct, and participate in distributor meetings with distributor partners to educate, inform, and build capabilities on selling Boxed Water.
  • Responsible for building sales presentations and reports to share both internally and externally with retailer and distributor partners that will provide an action-oriented response.
  • Support the execution and management of region budget, sales expense (trade spend), forecasting, T&E, and reporting.
  • Work closely with Marketing to establish and implement successful marketing programs, campaigns, and materials to profitably increase Boxed Water availability and points of distribution.
  • Schedule, execute, and track all crew drives and sales rallies, customer initiatives and promotional plans.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related major
  • Eight years minimum of Sales and/or Distributor Management, ideally with a beverage (or CPG industry) company
  • Understanding of the brand's artistic, environmentally friendly attributes
  • Professional, enthusiastic, a solid team player, and possesses a drive for results
  • Strong outgoing social and personable energy
  • Extremely organized, dependable, and self-motivated
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to work both independently and with others across a wide range of customers and stakeholders
  • Strong computer skills - specifically knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills with an ability to use reports and syndicated data to achieve goals and objectives
  • Willingness to travel 20-30%
  • Prior experience within the water / beverage category is a plus
  • Knowledge and experience in traditional (grocery, convenience retail, drug) and Foodservice / On-Premise (FSOP) channels is strongly preferred.
  • A clean driving record & strong geographic knowledge of the respective territory is a must
  • Must be able to lift cases of water up to 40lbs each
