Description
Position Summary
Primary responsibilities include analyzing data, developing/implementing/monitoring clinical quality improvement initiatives to achieve superior outcomes, participating in and/or leading committees, reviewing and updating policies & procedures; coordinating the organization's QAPI program, and engaging in performance improvement projects to enhance the patient experience. The Coordinator also ensures proper compliance with regulatory agencies, accrediting bodies, policies and procedures, and implements risk, quality assessment and improvement programs within the health center. The position requires excellent time management, organizational & communication skills.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with enhancement of Quality Assurance & Performance Improvement (QAPI) program
  • Monitor success of QAPI plans/actions to ensure that Company goals continue to be met.
  • Perform medical record reviews for the purpose of identification of real or potential risks to patients
  • Assist in investigation and resolution of quality of care complaints.
  • Assist with audits and reviews from outside agencies, such as California Department of Public Health and The Joint Commission.
  • Work independently and with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
  • TRAVEL: Some travel is required, primarily within the Monterey County
 

Work Schedule

8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and occasional weekends depending on the needs and demands of the job functions.

 

 

 
Position Requirements

Qualifications/Specifications

 

  • Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocation Nurse with current state licensure required.
  • High degree of interpersonal skills, problem solving abilities and excellent communication skills.
  • Training and education in Performance Improvement tools and techniques preferred.
  • Advanced skills with MS Office tools (including Excel, Word, Power Poin
