All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status or any other characteristic protected by law.   Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time   Shift   Description MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: This position is responsible for the general Cost Accounting functions, including monitoring and maintaining labor and material overhead rate calculations, maintaining work in process general ledger, assisting in corporate financial statement preparation, monthly journal entry preparation and monthly corporate and local reporting requirements. In addition the position will work closely with operations management on major job analysis, labor and material performance to provide risk mitigating feedback to operations on jobs in process. The position will work closely with personnel in Operations, Material Handling, Estimating, Planning and Senior management in monitoring and reporting on job performance and recommending process or procedures changes to provide for best practices. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Perform Cost Accounting functions for ILG location for labor and material. Provide job costing reporting as directed to local and corporate management Maintain corporate general ledger system Assist in preparation of final monthly financial statements Complete monthly general ledger account analysis and review as directed Prepare and enter monthly journal entries as required Prepare necessary schedules and provide assistance for annual audits and year end closings Consults with operations staff to develop understanding of the varied and complex business needs, processes and procedures Responsible for determining how the business/costing changes can effect process needs and works with the business unit managers to help understand their financial statements and business focus needs Actively engages with operations and staff personnel to gain knowledge and value-added responses on performance issues, hidden problems, patterns of activity and advising local management of trends, activities, and options of needed action Produces reporting, timelines and graphics from PC, creates reporting from existing databases to satisfy requests, data sampling, project analysis, or testing verification Other duties as required.   Position Requirements B.S. degree in Accounting, with Cost Accounting major preferred. CMA or CPA preferred Financial Analysis experience with job costing experience preferred Minimum of three- (3) year’s cost accounting functional background experience. Minimum of three- (3) year’s corporate accounting/auditing functional a plus Must possess strong verbal and written communications skills and exceptional computer skills Complete, active operating knowledge of Accounting Complete, active operating knowledge of Job Order costing methodologies   Location Wilmington - DE   This position is currently not accepting applications.
