Accounts Payable, Jr. Analyst 


We are a unique small business working at the intersection of domestic and international development to improve social, economic, and environmental resilience. We have an exciting entry-level opportunity for a full-time Accounts Payable Junior Analyst.

The successful candidate will report to the Senior Accounting Manager and will be responsible for making processing invoices, expense reports and credit card charges. The candidate should have the ability to perform successfully in a fast-paced environment, meet tight processing deadlines, work well in a team environment, and be adaptable to change


  • Review all Travel Expense Reports to ensure they follow both Federal Travel Regulations (FTR) as well as internal Cloudburst procedures.
  • Ensure invoice approval and appropriate charge codes are submitted before entering subcontractor or consultant invoices in Deltek Costpoint.
  • Enter invoices, mark appropriately and file awaiting payment.
  • Perform weekly check runs: voucher selection, prepayment report, run checks, mail checks.
  • Research and reconcile vendor invoices.
  • Code monthly American Express statement and reconcile GL account.
  • Accurately execute all processing items on departmental processing task.
  • Respond in timely manner to all operational inquiries.
  • Process Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Deltek Costpoint entries
  • Maintain employee confidence and protect accounts operations by keeping information confidential
  • Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Assist with all department audits on a periodic basis (internal and external audit).
  • Filing of all accounting related reports timely.
  • Provide backup support in the absence of Accounting staff.
  • Provide special project support as needed.
Position Requirements
  • BA in Accounting preferred but will consider applicant with Associates degree in Accounting or related field of study and two years of related experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to research compliance items for responses to employees as needed.
  • Demonstrated ability to comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements of existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising supervisor on needed actions.
  • Knowledge of Deltek Costpoint a plus.
  • Must be able to manage Balance Sheet reconciliations and financial information.
  • Strict attention to detail and great organization skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel®.
  • Good communication skills.
