Dominion National, a leading provider of dental and vision benefits, desires an experienced Paralegal to join its Legal, Regulatory & Compliance (LRC) Department.

Summary:

The Paralegal will track and analyze new and existing laws; provide support to the Legal, Regulatory & Compliance (LRC) Department concerning regulatory examinations, audits and reviews; prepare various regulatory filings and applications; draft and manage policies and procedures; coordination with compliance personnel, when necessary, in the performance of these functions; perform other duties as assigned.

 
Position Requirements

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. The Paralegal will, at a minimum, possess the following credentials:

  • Minimum 1-3 years of paralegal experience required.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in any field preferred.
  • Completion of paralegal specialty courses, paralegal certification, and/or graduation from an American Bar Association (ABA)-approved paralegal education program preferred.
  • Experience with legal research (Westlaw and/or Lexis).
  • Builds collaborative relationships with key personnel throughout the organization and its affiliates.
  • Experience managing and tracking multiple projects.
  • Ability to adjust to changing job requirements and priorities in order to meet dynamic needs and workflow.
  • Discretely handle highly-sensitive issues.
  • Perform tasks independently and to know when to request input from the department leadership.
  • Provide direction to management and non-management employees concerning important activities where deadlines must be met.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work with all levels throughout the organization.
  • High precision and attention to detail.
