Accounting Technician

Our firm partners with our clients to provide a high level of technical engineering and client service. We are looking for employees to help us continue our legacy for the next 70 years.  

Seeking an Accounting Technician to contribute to the day to day operations at our Corporate office in Denver. This is a dynamic position that can change to fit the candidate’s experience

Essential Job Responsibilities

  1. Processes weekly accounts payable (A/P).
  2. Processes weekly expense reports.
  3. Processes corporate registrations by state – both electronically and manually
  4. Generate, track, and record Purchase Orders
  5. Process weekly client billing, including all supporting documentation such as timesheets, expense detail, and spreadsheets (A/R)
  6. Orders office supplies, fruit, and kitchen supplies weekly/as-needed
  7. Provides front desk coverage including answering phones, greeting visitors, receiving packages (approximately 15% of time). Regular accounting duties are performed from the front desk

Position Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related filed, or a minimum of 4-years experience relevant to this role

Knowledge, Skill, Ability

  • Demonstrated communication and organizational skills
  • Highly proficient in use of word processing software and various accounting software
  • Proficiency with Excel using and creating basic formulas; familiar with certain functions such as VLookup and macros a plus
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively; to express ideas; to share information; and to prepare clear, well-organized correspondence, reports and similar documents
  • Knowledge of fundamental business principles and practices
  • Must have a “can-do” attitude toward taking on new challenges
  • Experience with Ajera, Concur and Newforma is helpful but not required
