DUTIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT NOT NECESSARILY BE LIMITED TO: Providing prompt, courteous and professional technical support for Whidbey Telecom services. Receiving, logging, assessing and responding to customer Internet and local network problems. Remote diagnostics and troubleshooting of customer's network. Onsite diagnostics and troubleshooting of customer's network. Wireless site surveys. Collaborating effectively with co-workers in order to provide fast and effective problem resolution. Documentation in accordance with in-house and industry best practices. On-Call duties as needed. After-hours scheduling as needed. Other duties as assigned.   Position Requirements MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Excellent communication and documentation skills. Experience configuring and troubleshooting residential and small business Internet connections (routers, firewalls, port forwarding, DNS). Experience configuring and troubleshooting consumer network devices (wired, wireless, switches, printers, computers, mobile devices, etc…). Understanding basic network troubleshooting tools and techniques. CompTIA’s A+ or equivalent certification. CompTIA’s Network+ and Security+ preferred. 1 to 3 years’ experience. Ability to multi-task and be flexible enough to adapt to changing environment and priorities as necessary. Ability to work independently. Valid WA State driver’s license and insurable driving record. Pre-employment and ongoing drug screens. Pass background check.
