Compliance Agent Utah Recreation Company is hiring for exceptional individuals to fill our Compliance Agent opening! This is an exciting opportunity to work in the hospitality field while spending time both at our sites and at our Pleasant Grove Office. ABOUT US: We are the new concessionaire for the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest. We are contracted with the United States Forest Service to manage the campsites in this region and are a privately-owned company. WHAT THIS POSITION LOOKS LIKE: Classification: Seasonal/Full-Time Position (typically May through October, depending on sites and weather conditions). Location: Campsite not provided for this position. You will have assigned daily routes to drive to our campsites throughout the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest to collect fees to bring back to our office in Pleasant Grove. Some routes may require several hours of daily driving. Wage: $10.35 per hour Schedule: Weekends and holidays required, some routes may require you to work early mornings or evenings – 40 hours per week with two days off during the week. JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Collect fees from Area Managers or Camp Hosts daily on assigned route and deliver fees safely to the Pleasant Grove office
- Communicates with supervisor and/or maintenance staff for non-compliance concerns, maintenance issues, or safety hazards
- Inspects campgrounds and surrounding area continually to ensure cleanliness and safety
- Promotes varied company and agency partner programs
- Is a friendly and helpful resource to visitors
TRAINING AND SAFETY: Personal Protective Equipment The Compliance Agent will use various tools and equipment on a daily basis. Footwear required shall be a work boot or a high-quality leather shoe providing ankle support. No open-toe sandals or flip-flops are allowed on the job. The Compliance Agent will be knowledgeable in the safety practices and standards set by the Company, relative to the work environment he/she operates in. He/she will also make it a duty to assure that all co-workers are working with those same safety practices and standards.
