Position Production Assembly Technician

This job requires the technician to perform Production Assembly tasks as assigned on a daily basis. Tasks for this position include working on all stages of Digital Bible Assembly, i.e. product preparation, product firmware updates/install, digital loading, final inspection (QC) and assembly, component assembly and preparation. There are also non- digital product assembly and creation functions such as mp3 and dvd disc creation, duplication and printing, mp3 packet assembly, envelope stuffing and mailroom tasks.

Digital Bible Assembly:

  • Product preparation - Unpack blank product, prep blank product by performing visual inspection, battery testing, charging, labeling, uncapping, and unwrapping the various Digital Bible products and separating components as shipped.
  • Loading - Physically connecting the various digital devices to pc or duplication device for the purpose of loading the digital content (Digital Bible files) onto the product that has been previously prepped.
  • Product Firmware Updates/Install - using computer-based tools/programs to change/update product firmware and setting to current versions available.
  • QC - Testing the loaded product to verify content, detect component defects, and assure correct labeling, and copyright compliance.
  • Assembly - Placing / assembling Digital Bible products into the final product packaging in preparation for shipping. This process involves the final inspection of all products going out through our distribution process. The inspection process verifies that all labeling, packaging and parts are correct, and may involve the packing of product into the final shipping packs.
  • Assembly line (AL) processing - ability to work at all AL stations and to proactively assess the needs of the AL to ensure workflow is continuous.


  • All production technicians are involved in expediting the production process through the assembly of product boxes, prepping product for the loading and final assembly throughout the production process. Tasks involved are box assembly, charging devices, labeling product, unpacking and uncapping items as needed in advance of larger production runs. There are various other tasks such as housekeeping and equipment maintenance procedures; some are routine and other tasks that are uncommon or one-time occurrences.

CD/MP3/DVD Duplication:

  • Job duties are based in the operation of cd duplication and printing equipment. The technician will duplicate mp3 discs as well as create/code dvd discs using Adobe Encore software, and conduct the printing of the discs once they have been duplicated. The assembly of various disc packs as needed is also an ongoing task in this area of production.

Quality Assurance:

  • This function is an ongoing requirement for all personnel involved in the production processes. The achievement of the desired quality of the final product is assured by each individual's efforts in all stages of the product creation. Emphasis on fast paced, accurate, error free job performance is an essential part of this position. The accurate reporting / logging of all work performed as required is also an integral task.
Position Requirements

The production Assembly Technician must have: basic knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook software, the ability to use a computer database program, and the ability to learn the operation of duplication, printing, and other miscellaneous equipment. Basic math skills, good attention to detail not only in assembly but also in filling out paperwork. The ability to work with tape guns, and box knives safely and efficiently, and reach, crouch, and bend. Manual dexterity, wrist flexibility, good hand-eye coordination. Physically able to lift up to 40 lbs. Self-motivation skills. Maintain production requirements and quality standards. Good communication skills and work well with co-workers.
