Product Manager (Workers Compensation & FSA/HSA) 

Description

We are looking to hire a Product Manager with experience/knowledge in Workers’ Compensation and FSA/HSA.

  • Develops and coordinates product strategies for property & casualty insurance lines, benefit accounts and related product lines. Monitors market for emerging trends, develops new products or enhancements to existing products, and recommends adjustments to pricing. Manages development and rollout of products. Monitors ongoing product delivery and service satisfaction.
  • Develops plans and strategies to enhance current products and introduce new products to generate additional revenue, increase client retention and/or realize operational efficiencies.
  • Thoroughly understands product performance metrics and produces reports/analyses on an ongoing basis.
  • Develops and presents business cases including high-level financial models, annual product plans, product enhancements and recommends changes to senior management. [
  • Implements approved products and strategies by coordinating with: - IT, Operations, Finance, Sales, Marketing and other departments as required.
  • Manages ongoing relationships and negotiations with external partners, monitors industry for possible new partners.
  • Ability to understand multiple sales “ecosystems” and compensation models, and influence changes to improve sales performance
  • Acts as project manager/lead on related projects (other than IT development).
  • Familiar with Agile software development roles and processes. Able to work with Product Owners and others to ensure the product/project vision is clearly understood and achieved.
  • Develops and implements pricing, positioning, distribution and promotional strategies to increase market share and profitability in close coordination with sales, operations, finance and other departments as needed.
  • Represents the company by active participation in industry associations.
  • Monitors competition, identifies and analyzes significant changes. Uses constructive thinking and innovative solutions to recognize trends and to develop business plans.
  • Monitors ongoing product delivery and service satisfaction. Proposes ways to improve assessing product enhancements, competitive positioning, and pricing.
 
Position Requirements
  • BS in Business Administration (business concentration desirable). MBA or similar desirable.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ business experience including 2 years marketing experience and 2 years’ management experience.
  • Knowledge of Company’s market and product line and strong verbal and written communication, leadership and analytical skills/ability to make senior management level presentations a must.
  • Experience with Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Familiarity with PowerBI, Access, and other reporting/analysis tools.
