POSITION SUMMARY:

The Sales Planning and Trade Analytics Manager will play a critical role in Suja Sales Strategy application, Business Performance and Budgetary goal reporting, and in supporting the company’s overall S&OP process. This role will report into the EVP of Sales and Planning & will work closely with the EVP of Category Insights to identify, implement and lead new processes and methods to help the Sales team and the entire organization operate efficiently and effectively. Expectation is that this candidate will utilize their experience, intellectual curiosity and passion to be successful in the role by fostering both a disciplined approach and collaborative environment to drive exemplary results.


Overall, we are looking for someone who has excellent business acumen with an in-depth knowledge of Sales Planning and an understanding of the role they play across multiple teams (Marketing, Category Management, Finance, Demand Planning, Supply Chain). The candidate needs to be a critical thinker and have extensive technical and project ownership experience. You must be a self-starter, flexible thinker, and outstanding communicator who is comfortable learning quickly and connecting the dots by using exceptional analytical and interpersonal skills. You must have the ability to synthesize information across disparate data sources and turn into clear and actionable insights. Results will depend on your ability to quickly form both professional and personal relationships with colleagues and drive to rigorous, actionable, user-friendly deliverables. Fast-Track to Director position will be considered for individuals who personify the Suja spirit of driving positive change through entrepreneurial attitude & exemplary results.

PRIMARY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Sales Planning: Provides Leadership in All Aspects of Reporting, Planning, and Analytics in the Following Areas or Both Annual & Monthly Sales Planning:
    • Sales Reporting/Business Performance (Leveraging current tools and developing new tools)
    • Bottoms up Budget and Forecasting- Goal Setting (Annual), Tracking & Analyzing (Monthly)
    • Trade Planning - Development, Communication, Analytics and Tracking
    • AMPS Implementation and Tracking
    • S&OP – Sales Related Reporting Lead
    • Ad-hoc initiatives and strategic project work as needed
  • Cross-Functional Work: Build and Maintain Collaborative Cross-Functional Relationships
    • Marketing, Category Management, Demand Planning, Supply Chain, Finance
  • Effective Tool Development And Utilization: Identify and Implement New Tools and Processes to Enable More Disciplined Management and Tracking of Top Priorities (Customer Projects and Initiatives), Execution, and Results
    • Provides Sales Support for Monthly Business Review
    • Active support, planning and participation in all Sales Meetings (Bi-Monthly Calls and Annual Planning Meetings) to drive sales team tracking, accountability measures, and goal achievement
  • Portfolio Communication: Portfolio Changes/Updates and Implementation of Sales Executional Needs
    • In charge of official New, disco, and transition communications to field sales
    • Application and tracking of established assortment goals
 
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Supply Chain, Business Management, or other quantitative business discipline
  • Experience in CPG Sales, Sales Operations, Finance, Sales Demand Planning or Supply Chain
  • 3-5 years of experience with an emphasis on business reporting and analytics required.

  • Have an entrepreneurial spirit, intellectually curiosity, and a passion to drive success in a team environment
  • Experience, interest, and adaptability to working in an exciting, ambiguous environment
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to communicate complex concepts to senior and business audiences
  • Excellent project ownership experience managing multiple project streams and delivering results across cross-functional teams. Propensity for thinking through projects in a process-oriented manner
  • Understanding of P&L statements and the factors that influence profitability in a business
  • Excellent organization, planning skills with strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated personal leadership skills
  • Interest and willingness to learn from and teach others
  • Excellent presentation skills with above average influencing and negotiating skills
  • Strong analytical skills and detail orientation with a drive to learn new systems
  • Must be proactive and performance driven, have a bias for action and be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent English written and oral communication skills
  • Advanced Office literacy in Excel, PowerPoint, Word
