About the Organization  

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Work activities include compiling data for project reports, collecting and compiling field data as required, documenting technical data for management review, providing other duties as assigned
  • Assisting with preparation of labor/material estimates and design packages for clients
  • Collection of air, water, waste, wastewater, stormwater, groundwater, and soil samples.
  • Collection and interpretation/evaluation of engineering and scientific data, development of project design basis, development of specifications, and performance of detailed engineering calculations
  • Responsible for executing scope and maintaining schedule and budget goals for defined tasks
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Development of boring logs, well logs, plans, specifications, analyses, evaluations, maps, position papers, procedures and reports
  • Field oversight of contractors and junior level personnel
  • Communication of technical concepts, evaluation results, plans, and reports
  • Ensures conformance to applicable technical standards as well as company policies and procedures
  • Provides technical support to projects in all phases of work and a variety of scopes that include conceptual design, site characterization, remediation design, procurement, and construction
  • Independently evaluates, selects and uses standards, techniques, procedures and criteria for technical projectsl
  • Abide by ATC's health and safety policies and procedures.
Position Requirements

Basic qualifications:

  • Must have a Bachelor's degree in Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering
  • Must have 3 to 7 years' experience
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) registration required
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Current OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER and Refresher Training
  • Possess physical strength, stamina and dexterity to perform environmental site activities including field sampling and site reconnaissance
  • Ability to travel periodically and perform field assignments including environmental sampling
  • Ability to read and interpret maps and directions as well as project specifications & plans
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs required
  • Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have the ability to work independently and on project teams

Desired qualifications:

  • Experience in environmental consulting desired
  • Working Knowledge of CADD and GIS systems desired
  • Experience performing field assignments including drilling and environmental sampling activities desirable
