Share Email Opening Title 567 Transportation Dispatch / Shift Supervisor  Location Leech Lake Gaming   Description POSITION SUMMARY JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsible for the overall communications and dispatching of shuttles for reliable operations to assure the reliability of shuttle service for Leech Lake Gaming employees. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS RESPONSIBILITIES: Has the ability to perform all functions of supervised positions. Serves as dispatcher for the Casino's transportation. Assists in the transportation of Guests when required by duty or staff absence. Prepares daily shift reports to/for management, as necessary or requested. Assists Manager in the act of principal spokesperson for the Casino's transportation Department. Assures positive employee relations and maximum Guest service satisfaction to our Guests. Performs in full capacity as main communication center through use of 2-way radio system. Coordinates the Shuttle Drivers. Inform Shift Supervisors of shift activity by maintaining operational and employee records. Make recommendations regarding personnel issues to the Department Manager. Assist staff with job duties and responsibilities, as necessary. Maintains knowledge of all events in the property as a whole. Attends and/or facilitates all mandatory meetings and training. Maintains confidentiality at all times. Is sensitive to Native American Culture. Operates within the parameters of the Leech Lake Gaming Human Resource Policy, Departmental Policy Manual and all Tribal Internal Controls (TICs), and all other applicable regulations. Secures the assets of Leech Lake Gaming and the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe. Performs other duties as assigned.   Position Requirements KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Must have a valid Class D Minnesota Driver’s License. Minimum one (1) year previous supervisory experience. Good attendance and punctuality a must. Excellent time management, organizational, public relations and communication skills. Must have First Aid and CPR training. Must have a complete knowledge of travel locations and addresses in the local communities. Must be flexible in working various hours, shifts, weekends and holidays. Responsible for the coordination of shuttle drivers. Ability to resolve conflicts efficiently and professionally. Must have the ability to communicate with public and staff, also included is the ability to have effective writing skills. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Prolonged sitting while operating motorized vehicles is required, prolonged standing and walking is required. Must be physically fit to be able to assist Guests in and out of vehicles. Must be able to life and carry a minimum of 45 pounds. Must have clear vision (Near, Distance, Color, Peripheral, Depth Perception), and operate within any limitations posted upon driver’s license. Subject to internal working conditions, including a smoking environment. EDUCATION AND SKILLS Education Required: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED).
