We are a private, non-profit local chapter of The Arc of Maryland and The Arc of The United States, the largest volunteer organization in the world devoted exclusively to improving the quality of life for all adults and children with developmental disabilities.   Category Direct Support   Description Looking for a fun and rewarding job this summer? The Arc Northern Chesapeake Region is looking for enthusiastic, fun, and dedicated Camp Counselors for its inaugural four (4) week Camp Sp'Arc Summer program. Sp'Arc Counselors will be supporting children from age 6-21 that may or may not have an intellectual or development disability (IDD). Activities will include visits to Herr's Chip Factory, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Conowingo Pool, M&T Bank Stadium, Camden Yards and so much more! Counselors will work 7:30-3:30 or 8:30-4:30 and must be able to work the following, full weeks: June 17-21st June 24-28th July 29-Aug 2th Aug 5-9th Job Duties will include the following: Guard the health and wellbeing of the campers Greet and welcome families and campers Communicate regularly with Camp Supervisor with any suggestions and concerns Interact, engage and participate with assigned campers Assist campers with meals and other activities of daily life (ADL's) Assist where needed and lead activities when asked by the Camp Supervisor   Full-Time/Part-Time Seasonal   Shift Days   EOE Statement We are an equal employment opportunity employer.
