About the Organization  

ATC is currently seeking a Senior Environmental Field Technician to join our thriving Monterey Park, California Office. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience conducting field work including soil and groundwater sampling, soil boring logging, soil vapor sampling, remediation systems operations and maintenance, and health & safety oversight.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform soil/groundwater sampling/monitoring for subsurface assessment/remediation projects
  • Perform soil logging
  • Compile detailed/well-organized data/field notes and photographs to assist project managers with completing reports
  • Prepare chain-of-custody forms for analytical testing, record survey data on approved forms, etc.
  • Travel locally and regionally to project sites using company vehicle
  • Work off-hours and weekends periodically when required
  • Implement ATC’s health and safety policies and procedures

Position Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree or Technical Degree preferred
  • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER Certification (with current/recent refresher certification)
  • Knowledge of field sampling techniques and chain-of-custody protocols
  • Basic mechanical skills/mechanically inclined
  • Familiarity with laboratory procedures
  • Experience with O&M of Soil and Groundwater Remediation Systems
  • Effective field note taking, strong oral communication, presentation and time management skills
  • Ability to log soil
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet organization and project objectives
  • Ability to work with and sample petroleum products and dry cleaning products
  • Ability to work with mechanical systems used for remediation of petroleum and dry cleaning products
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others
  • Demonstration of high integrity and strong work ethic
  • Knowledge/Proficiency with Microsoft Office®.
  • Microsoft Office series, CAD a plus.
