Description

AstraZeneca is a global, innovation-driven biopharmaceutical business focusing on the commercialization of biologic prescription medicines. This full-time paid internship opportunity is for the summer of 2019.

Objective:

Provide opportunities for PhD students in Statistics or Biostatistics to learn statistical applications in clinical trials and assist in methodology and software development for clinical project needs.

Primary Duties:

  • Learning and assisting the development of innovative statistical methods, which include following activities:
  • Study newly developed statistical design methods in published/unpublished manuscripts
  • Write computation programs for applying the methods in clinical trials
  • Create user-friendly interface to complete the software for project statisticians to use

Required Technical Skills:

R, SAS.

 
Position Requirements

To participate in the AstraZeneca Intern Program,

Students must meet the following eligibility criteria:
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
• Enrollment in a full-time undergraduate or graduate program, returning to the academic program following AstraZeneca assignment
• Minimum grade point average of 3.0 preferred
• At least 18 years of age prior to the scheduled start date
