Client Services Specialist

Wait! This is NOT your normal client support position, so read on. We’re looking for someone special (hence the title). We have an existing, successful real estate product that has considerable potential for growth. We’re looking for someone who believes in it as much as we do and can expand, enhance, service and maintain our audience. (The Warren Group has been in this business since 1872, so we know what we’re talking about.)

How would an ideal candidate accomplish this feat? By being creative. You’ll be creating video, online and in-person training/tutorials, client survey programs, monthly newsletters, creating/managing social media efforts, creating/conducting seminars, assisting with company marketing efforts and win-back campaigns. You’ll be providing outreach to develop relationships with trade associations and members, researching competitive price analysis, step-up programs, and identifying new product enhancements.

You’ll be the client contact for the entire customer experience. So, you’ll also need to be creative to troubleshoot occasional product issues, need to have the innate people-skills to resolve customer issues in a timely, professional manner, as well as the self-discipline to manage customer databases.

Position Requirements

Our Data Solutions division provides mission-critical market data and statistics to lenders, regulators, researchers, and real estate professionals throughout New England and beyond. In addition, we publish Banker & Tradesman, The Commercial Record, and the Registry Review.

Reports directly to the Director of Sales & Marketing.

Essential Responsibilities (not limited to):

Summary: Responsible for Real Estate Record Search (RERS) audience expansion, training, servicing and maintenance - as well as product troubleshooting, pricing and enhancements. Includes the following:

  • Create video tutorials for use online and in marketing initiatives;
  • Develop online webinars and training for both existing and new customers;
  • Conduct in-person training for our corporate subscribers;
  • Develop survey programs for existing customer feedback;
  • Develop content for monthly newsletters and social media efforts;
  • Schedule, coordinate, and facilitate seminars to educate current customers and prospects;
  • Assist with setting up new accounts in subscription platform;
  • Troubleshoot login and platform issues for new and existing customers;
  • Assist with marketing efforts identifying new industries and prospects to target;
  • Maintain prospect database and coordinate outreach within our CRM system;
  • Work with marketing team to promote product and highlight key benefits;
  • Manage customer database and reporting for expires, renewals and new customers;
  • Follow-up after sales to ensure customer satisfaction;
  • Develop relationships with trade associations and members;
  • Update and maintain marketing pages on;
  • Develop and implement win-back campaigns;
  • Research competitive price analysis and step up programs for legacy customers;
  • Work with the product strategy department to identify new product enhancements;
  • Off-site travel required: Regional travel to industry events and customer sites;
  • Must have valid driver’s license;
  • Other duties as may be assigned.

Core Competencies:

  • One to three years of sales or client service. Knowledge of the real estate, mortgage and lending markets preferred. Bachelors’ degree and/or equivalent, relevant professional experience;
  • Outgoing and motivated, enjoys interacting with customers and providing prompt and courteous service;
  • Must have superb communication skills (oral, written and presentation);
  • Critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills, with an interest in selling within a small business environment;
  • Must be proactive, assertive and resourceful and must perform work duties with a sense of urgency and focus;
  • Must be a strong team player, while also competent to work independently with minimal supervision;
  • Highly motivated professional with ability to work with a diverse group of internal and external partners;
  • Must have strong interest in the real estate industry to understand relevant data and to monitor industry trends;
  • Must learn quickly and thoroughly with a demonstrated ability to customize solutions to meet customer needs;
  • Due to the financial and customer service nature of the position’s functions, must be detail-oriented;
  • Must be competent with multiple software programs like HubSpot, Microsoft Suite (including strong skills in Excel and PowerPoint), CRM systems and other business software, as well as internal proprietary applications;
  • Basic knowledge of email and social media marketing.
