EYP is looking for someone responsible for focusing EYP’s intellectual capital in a key areas and gaining recognition for the firm’s expertise among clients and peers; providing input to project teams in area of existing buildings.

  • Provide consultative services to project teams in area of expertise
  • Conduct learning sessions for EYP staff to broaden staff knowledge in area of expertise
  • Speak or participate in professional conferences or other events related to area of expertise
  • Write articles to be published in professional journals or major trade publications
  • Active in mentoring and developing the skills of EYP staff in their area of expertise
  • Leverage design talent and other intellectual content to sign-up new work/projects
Position Requirements
  • Professional degree in Architecture required
  • Must be a Registered Architect
  • 10+ years’ experience specializing in the renovation, rehabilitation and modernization of existing buildings
  • Experience with the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties and their application on projects
  • Experience in coordination with engineering disciplines (M/E/P/FP/S) on the design for sensitively inserting new systems in existing buildings
  • Developed a field of knowledge and/or expertise sufficient to be recognized outside of EYP as an authority on the subject
  • Requires sound knowledge of code principles and how they are applied to existing buildings
  • Regular active participant, as speaker, moderator, and/or organizer in professional conferences and other events related to their field of expertise
  • Published, preferably in professional, peer reviewed journals, major trade publications, or books
  • Regarded by their peers as a resource for advice, peer reviews, and instruction (whether through conferences, symposia or teaching in an academic setting) in their area of expertise
