SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Dining Room Manager, the Cashier/ Food Service Sanitation (FSS) worker is responsible for all daily cash, forms and keys received during the course of the work day. Also will perform the manual labor involved in all Food Service Sanitation daily responsibilities and requirements that pertain to the scope of contract specifications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Responsible for daily cash flow, signatures, verifications and reports.
2. Count and verify cash with supervisor at the end of the shift.
3. Submit change requisitions to supervisor for the next shift.
4. Responsible for daily food price entry.
5. Must assure all customers present proper documentation at time of purchase.
6. Daily documentation requirements.
7. Responsible for any cash shortages, over rings, voids and point of sale responsibilities.
8. Submit all money and forms to the supervisor.
9. Maintain the register area in a neat and clean manner.
10. Assist with serving food and bussing tables.
11. Clean pots and pans and operate dishwashers before, during and after each meal.
12. Maintain cleanliness the dining room and kitchen.
13. Detailed cleaning of all kitchen equipment.
14. Perform other duties as assigned.

 
Position Requirements

SKILLS REQUIRED
• Ability to count/exchange money.
• Knowledge of basic arithmetic.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to read, write and understand English.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Required: High School Diploma or its equivalent.
• Minimum of one (1) year related work experience (i.e. cashier).
• Food Service environment a plus.

PHYSICAL ABILITIES
• Lift and carry at least (30) pounds
• Ability to stand 90% of the time
• Ability to climb, stoop, kneel and reach
