Quality Assurance Manager - Behavioral Health 


Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the Director of Quality Assurance, the Quality Assurance Manager coordinates activities needed to meet quality standards in documentation, utilization and participant records, and is responsible to provide varied, complex and confidential management and operational analysis in support of change efforts within a department, division or program(s). This position supervises administrative staff responsible for maintaining the electronic and physical participant charts.

Position Requirements


  1. Registered intern or associate with the Board of Behavioral Sciences to assure knowledge of clinical documentation, diagnostic information, and interventions related to auditing, oversite and training needs.
  2. Master's Degree in Social Work or Counseling from an accredited college or university.
  3. Excellent written and oral communication, organizational, and planning skills.
  4. Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
  5. Familiarity with all aspects of clinical charting, including assessment, treatment planning, progress notes, and goal-oriented documentation.
  6. Motivated detail-oriented, team player with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management


  1. License (LCSW or MFT).
  2. Two years or more experience in quality assurance for Medi-Cal charts/documentation.
  3. Two years or more training and managing administrative staff.
  4. Two years or more experience with project management.
