Description

SAL Family and Community Services is hiring for a Home Child Care Network (HCCN) Coordiantor. This position is non-exempt and reports to the Home Network Director.

Essential Functions

Under general direction is responsible for managing assigned caseload of the Home Child Care Network of licensed in-home day cares; participates in recruitment, screening, training, enrollment and compliance activities of the day care homes. Provides personal supervision and direction at the homes on a monthly basis. Maintains appropriate records. Coordinates and/or offers training, marketing, resource development and other services to home providers. Assesses compliance with research based quality measurement such as FDCRS, BAS, and Outcomes; and initiates program improvement plans. Operates with significant independence in conjunction with program and Agency administrative personnel, under the supervision of the Home Network Director. In the absence of the Home Network Director, provides appropriate leadership.

Essential Functions

  • Collaborates with existing agencies and coordinates services for home childcare providers
  • Enrolls clients; completes necessary paperwork
  • Counsels families seeking child care
  • Produces necessary reports and projections to administrative personnel
  • Visits home providers on regular, established basis; documenting quality of care and regulating compliance
  • Facilitates attainment of quality rating system levels
  • Implements procedures and controls to ensure program integrity
  • Initiates and completes Outcomes measurement tool in the homes annually
  • Provides training opportunities for home providers that align with Quality Rating Systems and other topics as appropriate
