Share Email Opening Title Construction Foreman - Public Works  Description Person in this position is responsible for direct supervision of Equipment Operators, Equipment Operators/CDL, and Laborers for the Public Works Department. Assist Director of Public Works as needed Work storm related events Operate heavy equipment Paint and stripe lines in streets Assist with special events and festivals for City Departments Cut down, trim and remove trees out of parks and roadways Planting and watering trees and work on other landscape projects Call in and clear up dig tickets for department Install and replace side walks Pour concrete drive ways and curbs Repair pot holes and make street repairs Assist with storm water maintenance Install and repair storm drain piping Handle on-call rotation Required to perform other duties as assigned   Position Requirements Must have high school diploma or equivalent. Must have a minimum of 2 years experience as a Supervisor Must have a valid CDL class A/B driver license Should have ability to supervise employees and/or work as a team member on other crews. Basic computer skills   Physical/Environmental Requirements Constantly working around hazardous machinery,working in high and low temperatures. Also,very frequently exposed to wet surroundings,low noise and working outside. Frequently works around electrical hazards,works at night and around loud noise. May work in cluttered floor areas,around poor ventilation,dust or fumes and may occasionally work inside.
