About the Job

Under the direction of the Quality Assurance Supervisor, the QA Inspector is responsible for inspection and assessment of incoming and outgoing aircraft parts and related material. The QA Inspector ensures that all products are in full compliance with Dassault Aviation Quality Standards and all applicable Airworthiness regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Inspecting and Validating new parts and issuing EASA Form 1s in accordance with Dassault and EASA procedures.
  • Enters Pertinent Shelf-Life and Service-Life information into database as part of the Receiving function and monitor its impact on warehouse stock.
  • Monitors expiration dates and removes expired parts from stock.
  • Inspects Returned rental tooling and Monitors tooling for condition and periodic calibration requirements.
  • Performs conformity checks of tooling.
  • Inspects and determines airworthiness returned parts.
  • Works with Account Reps. to clear any discrepancies regarding shipped or returned stock
  • Assists engineering with investigations.
  • Assists with NFF/DOA investigations
  • Assists personnel in the Serviceable Receiving Area in determining the impact of Maintenance (chapter 5)/ Overhaul Requirements
  • Assists in Shipping Area to assure that proper airworthiness documentation accompanies all parts prior to shipment
  • Assists personnel in the Unserviceable Receiving Area in determining the impact of Maintenance (chapter 5)/ Overhaul Requirements
  • Other duties may be assigned by management in order to meet department or business objectives on an as-needed basis.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Graduate or GED
  • Four years Commercial or Civil aircraft maintenance experience
  • Two years quality administration or control experience in aircraft or aircraft component maintenance
  • Familiarity with Airworthiness regulations with regards to procurement, documentation and traceability
  • Experience with the use of aircraft or component illustrated parts catalogues
  • Ability to read Blueprints and perform precision measuring
  • Basic-level proficiency in the use of PC Windows business software (Microsoft Office preferred)
  • Ability to work well with others with little direct supervision
  • Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbally) with both internal and external customers in a professional manner

Additional Desired Qualifications:

  • Ability to read write and understand French
  • FAA Airframe and Power Plant Technicians license or equivalent experience
  • Experience with Industry Quality Monitoring/Improvements Systems (ISO)
  • College degree or equivalent related experience
  • Technical proficiency with the type of products being supported by DFJ

Working Conditions:

  • Office and warehouse environment.
  • Some travel required
  • Use of personal computers required.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Rotating Weekend support
