Description

The Associate Production Engineer

  • Assists in managing the technical aspects related:

    • For aircraft BU's: to the green aircraft (structure, hydraulic-electric-conditioning, avionics and other systems) and/or aircraft completion (structure, interior, paint, cabin systems, etc.).

      - Or -

    • For backshop BU's: to parts & components assembly, cabinet assembly, or upholstery assembly

Assists in performing the coordination and integration of professionals of multidisciplinary teams with goal to ensure that the aircraft or components are is on schedule, problems are resolved in a timely manner, and the aircraft/components meets the Dassault quality and safety level. The goal is to accomplish the production process in the smoothest, most judicious and most economical way. Works closely with business unit management to develop and increase individual skills and proficiency as a Production Engineer.

 
Position Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Engineering, Business or related field.

    (Less education will be considered with relevant work experience: 2 years of previous aircraft production work experience is equivalent to 1 year of college)

  • Knowledge of engineering practices and challenges related to the management of the production process

  • Ability to research, analyze and recommend efficient production processes through production engineering concepts regarding work-study, ergonomics, operation research, root cause analysis, manufacturing management, materials management, production planning etc.

  • Ability to read, understand and communicate (both verbally and in writing) technical information contained in aircraft maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings.

  • Analytical and critical-thinking skills

  • Ability to troubleshoot problems by determining and following detailed action plans

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office to include Project and SharePoint skills

  • Must be able to function throughout the total facility, including up and down stairs and in and out of aircraft with or without reasonable accommodation.
