Started in 1991 as a family owned residential builder in the greater Tacoma, Washington area, Vaughn Bay Construction has grown into a leading provider of both light commercial and affordable multi-family construction. Vaughn Bay Construction is a leader in developing affordable housing across the country, throughout the Pacific Northwest and stretching from Florida to the Hawaiian Islands. Vaughn Bay Construction is looking for an experienced Director of Rehab to be responsible for the full-cycle oversight of rehab and turnover efforts (budget variance, quality control and scheduling) of property maintenance staff and third-party contractors.

Essential Duties:

  • Manage projects from conception to completion
  • Must have experience in multi-family, rehab.
  • Manage all forecasting and scheduling
  • DRIVE the project
  • Interact with personnel effectively to facilitate job progress
  • Ensure that company procedures and processes are followed
  • Follow and enforce safety rules & procedures, and OSHA requirements

Position Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 8 years of construction project management in rehab construction of multi-family, garden-style apartments, assisted living facilities, and rehab facilities
  • Must have experience managing teams of project managers and superintendents on 5-6 projects simultaneously
  • Must have experience in multi-family, rehab. Affordable housing multi-family project experience a plus
  • Must understand all aspects of construction management in order to oversee the jobsite and assist the teams needed
  • Must have experience with scheduling to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Must be able to travel within state as needed
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)
  • Skilled in prioritizing, organization and time management
  • Proficient on computers, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • High School diploma or equivalent
