JOB SUMMARY

The Inspector will inspect products for compliance to specifications, drawings, workmanship standards and customers’ contract or purchase order. This role will perform inspection of various commodities and operate various precision measuring/inspection tools.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Receiving inspection, source inspection, in process inspection, final inspection, shipping inspection and inspection of customer returns. All inspection tasks must be performed per appropriate and established procedures/instructions. All exceptions must be documented and approved.

  • Produce various reports: First Article Report, Rejection Report, and Production Rework Sheet and present acceptable products to consumers for source acceptance. Witness tests and verify compliance to test specification and evaluate test data results.

  • Ensure that products ready to ship meet workmanship, drawings, specification, internal (sale order) and customer (purchase order or contract) requirements.

  • Ensure that each job performed is documented per inspection procedure and completed to the highest accuracy level.

  • Conduct daily business with internal and external customers.

  • Participate in work team for corrective action or process improvement.

  • Perform various types of data entry and control entry as part of product acceptance completion.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High School diploma or general education degree (GED)

Two years related experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

3 - 5 years of related experience

2nd shift hours: Monday - Thursday 4:00 PM - 2:30 AM
