This position requires a combination of technical, architecture, business acumen, pre-sales, excellent written and verbal communication abilities, and defining delivery methodologies for new and advanced technologies. The Principal Solution Architect will be actively engaged in solution pre-sales pursuits, scoping engagements, developing of new offerings & collateral, internal enablement, internal process improvement, providing oversight of emerging services engagements, and supporting the introduction of new products and services to Rolta AdvizeX and its clients. A day in the life… Act as the lead architect responsible for the design, functionality, and delivery of Rolta AdvizeX solutions, including requirements gathering, solution design and implementation approach Create new solution & service offerings to be added to the AdvizeX services portfolio Conduct presentations and deliver proposals to clients, including senior level leadership Establish and/or distribute implementation best practices for next generation solutions Develop and recommend strategies for Rolta AdvizeX to gain competitive advantage Educate pre-sales engineers & delivery consultants with product intelligence, distribute best practices, populate consultant toolkit, and lead delivery personnel to ensure the successful delivery of the highest quality services Respond to RFI/RFQ/RFP questionnaires to ensure AdvizeX provides a relevant and highly favored response Create solution collateral including solution/service briefs, develop level of effort calculators, standard methodologies, and craft engagement qualifiers to determine project pricing, risk, profitability, and respond to customer requests quickly Participate in collaboration activities such as Rolta AdvizeX virtual teams, internal education sessions, contribute to marketing events, develop & maintain internal mentoring approaches, and provide regional and national strategic advice Work cohesively with other technology practices to provide seamless multi-disciplinary services integration for clients   Position Requirements What we are looking for… Business Proven experience developing, documenting, and presenting architecture and implementation roadmaps integrating multiple technologies in enterprise environments Ability to identify and propose solutions to customer business challenges, lead associated sales cycle, and drive positive customer outcomes Demonstrate solid design principles, methodologies, and creative thinking to produce business-aligned technology architectures Experience developing & marketing solutions, collateral, messaging, and frameworks for infrastructure technologies Have advanced experience with a wide variety of complex, distributed systems Motivated by taking on new challenges, learning new technologies, and staying “ahead of the curve” to differentiate yourself from your peers Technical – seven (7) or more years of the following (or equivalent) experience Designing and implementing virtual data center infrastructure solutions Software-defined data center (SDDC) platform design and implementation including VMware technologies such as VMware NSX, VMware vSAN, VMware Cloud Foundation, VMware vRealize Automation, and/or VMware vRealize Suite Experience implementing automation & configuration management technologies such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, and other scripting/automation technologies Broad understanding of information technology disciplines and applications including virtualization, storage, networking, security, application architecture, and cloud technologies Experience in designing, implementing, and/or managing public cloud infrastructure solutions such as AWS, Azure, Oracle, and/or GCP Education & Certification Requirements B.S degree in CS/IS/IT or equivalent experience VMware VCDX, Cisco CCIE, or other advanced design certification preferred VMware VCAP/VCIX or equivalent advanced implementation certification required General Requirements Position requires up to 10% travel annually out of territory and regular travel within your designated region (state-wide) The ability to work on complex initiatives and drive project delivery with little-to-no outside supervision Outstanding documentation and communication skills The ability to create complex technical diagrams, workflows and presentations using MS Visio and PowerPoint Excellent presentation skills, both in leading meetings and presenting to groups, and also in detail-oriented construction of supporting materials and decks Ability to create detailed Statement of Work documents around the delivery of projects What you’ll get… A career with a company where you will be challenged, respected, and valued.
