SAFY of Lima is seeking a mission driven professional to serve as a the full time Intervention Specialist responsible for working along side Auglaize or Hardin County Children Services. Providing comprehensive clinical service provisions for clients, as well as promoting family stability within a framework of strength based and culturally sensitive services through the efforts of the State Opioid Response initiative.

As the Hardin/Auglaize CO Intervention Specialist you would,

•Complete referral reviews and intake assignments. Communicate service availability to all assigned clients promptly.
•Provide instruction, intervention and assistance as deemed necessary through the exercise of independent judgment and knowledge or as part of the treatment team to preserve the family unit.
•Coordinate with county agency as appropriate, family sessions to promote successful clinical interventions.
•Collaborate service provisions with school officials, courts and other appropriate parties involved with the client according to policy, regulations and best practice standards.
•Attend hearings as assessed, assist client and families with community linkages. Provide after care services as required by contract.
•Provide services to the youth with mental health diagnosis; promote daily living skills that impact delivery of mental health services which focus on self-sufficiency through specific outcomes, such as obtaining housing, job education or vocational training, counseling and community networking; providing outpatient mental health case management services.
•Complete assessments as required by state rules, agency policies, and/or contract requirements, which may include psychosocial assessments, Diagnostic Assessment Forms, and Family Functioning assessments, Mental Health Scales. Complete required Outcome Measure reports.
•Prepare Individualized Treatment Plan (IAP, ISP etc.), DAF’s, and Mental Health Individualized Services Plans according to established time frames involving all appropriate parties as required by policy and regulations of the state.
•Establish mutually respectful rapport and implements interventions necessary to meet needs of client/collaterals; appropriately sets limits and maintains helping role as a Mental Health practitioner.
•Assist the division for additional clinical services as designated by the Treatment Director and may conduct trainings to client, families and staff/intern clinical consultations.

Position Requirements

What you can offer as the Intervention Specialist,

Education:Bachelor’s degree in the field of social work, counseling, psychology, or other license-eligible related
field of human services.

Required Licensure: OH – LSW or LPC

•Undergraduate Degree from an Accredited College or University required in the field of family development or other relevant human services program that is equivalent to the field of study in dealing with family issues.
•Prefer experience working with children and families.
•The ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally with a culturally and educational diverse service population is required.
•The utilization of a computer and other office equipment is a requirement of this position.
•Requires the ability to work flexible hours daily and weekly to meet family needs.
•Reliable transportation with an acceptable driving record is necessary in order to meet travel requirements of this position.
