POSITION SUMMARY: The Economics & Business Department at Moravian University, globally accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), invites applications for adjunct instructors to teach Predictive Analytics beginning in Fall 2019. Applicants should be willing to teach at the undergraduate (introductory through advanced levels) and graduate level.
The Master's of Science in Predictive Analytics (MSPA) is a 36 credit, 12 course master's degree program that develops students'competencies in data science. Students take a core set of courses in analytics, business research, and leadership then choose three elective courses with which they can focus their studies. The primary fields of teaching responsibility will include courses in the Masters of Science in Predictive Analytics program, which requires knowledge in the areas of advanced modeling techniques, supply chain analytics, healthcare analytics, marketing analytics, web analytics, data visualization, and text analytics. Courses include (but are not limited to) the following: Big Data Management, Big Data Analytics, Regression, Factorial and Cluster Analysis, Generalized Linear Models, and Supply Chain Analytics.
Successful applicants will at least hold a master's degree in analytics, computer science, data science, information science, economics, statistics, or a closely related field from a regionally accredited college or university at the time of appointment; a PhD is preferred. Professional work experience in applying predictive analytics to the area of application, supply chain, marketing, healthcare, etc., is required. Applications should have experience with data analytics tools (e.g. SQL Server, R, Python, SPSS, SAS, and Excel).

QUALIFICATIONS: An earned Ph.D. (or equivalent degree), advanced ABDs, and candidates with a Master's degree plus significant professional experience and professional certifications will be considered. Prior teaching experience in accounting is preferred.
