Job Summary The position is responsible for leading, promoting and actively engaging plant associates to ensure a culture of health, safety and accountability. This will include safety and health administration, training, coaching, mentoring, inspections, auditing, and monitoring the site safety and health compliance. Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Bachelor’s degree in safety or an equivalent combination of education, training and work experience
- 1-3 years of professional safety work experience
- Ability to speak fluently in English; Spanish preferred but not required
- Basic level of proficiency in the areas of occupational and process safety
- Experience with MSHA and OSHA preferred
- Strong communications skills – verbal, listening, writing and public speaking
- Proficient with Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- High level of ethics, integrity and professionalism
- Self motivated and ability to motivate others
- Problem solving abilities
- Proven ability to work in a team environment
- Financial accountability and responsibility
- Flexible hours to work with teams on all shifts
