POSITION SUMMARY: BASIC FUNCTION
The Sales Executive is responsible for sales activities such as creating outbound sales opportunities, researching target decision makers, and uncovering and understanding targets' corporate initiatives. This position also responds to inbound sales requests, assists with indirect and direct opportunities for partners, as well as develops new opportunities with existing accounts. The Sales Executive will also develop leads for new accounts, manage existing and new accounts, establish and maintain effective communications with the Sales team to ensure proper sensitivity to sales needs, and maximize sales revenue to meet company objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Accurately communicates corporate messaging to prospective clients via telemarketing to identify potential opportunities and generate new leads.
Performs sales account management activities such as delivering quotes and proposals in a timely manner, coordinates proper internal company resources to ensure effective and efficient sales at the direction of the Vice President of Enterprise Sales.
Qualify inbound sales requests via phone or e-mail, distribute initial information to prospect and assist account manager assessment.
Participation in trade shows, seminars, conferences, preparation of formal presentations, and other marketing activities as required.
Researching prospective clients' news stories, social media and websites to understand corporate initiatives and goals.
Regular, predictable attendance is essential for satisfactory performance

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree required.
A minimum of 2 years' exposure to a Sales environment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Primarily sitting with some walking, standing, and bending.
Able to hear and speak into a telephone.
Close visual work on a computer terminal.
Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate any required computer keyboard, mouse, and other technical instruments.
Able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
WORK CONDITIONS
Typical office environment with extensive daily usage of a computer or workstation.
Occasional travel up to 10% to trade shows
Occasional travel to perspective clients with Sales team
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
May require being on call periodically and working outside normal working hours
Must work on-site; no telecommuting permitted.
Valid driver's license and car insurance.
