About the Organization  

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Perform chemical exposure monitoring, noise surveys, asbestos abatement air monitoring, asbestos inspections, hazardous materials surveys, lead-based paint surveys, and/or microbial inspections and sampling in a variety of settings.
  • Provide technical assistance on IH and safety compliance projects/programs for clients locally and nationally.
  • Oversee and perform IH, safety, and environmental compliance projects from proposal to completion.
  • Provide technical training and mentoring to staff, develop internal standard operating procedures for field data collection and reporting, work with IH/safety leaders across company to develop consistent procedures.
  • Prepare written reports and documentation of field activities, inspections and testing using standard forms.
  • May require working evenings and/or weekends as scheduling demands change.
  • Any other work related duties assigned by your supervisor.
  • Abide by ATC’s health and safety policies and procedures.
Position Requirements

Basic qualifications:

  • B.S. Degree in Industrial Hygiene, Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • Three to seven years of IH/regulatory and safety compliance experience in industrial and construction environments.
  • Knowledge of Pennsylvania and New Jersey Department of Public Health, OSHA and EPA Regulations.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
  • Current OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER and Refresher Training.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Desired qualifications:

  • Able to interpret construction documents; write routine reports and correspondence; effectively present information and respond to questions; perform required mathematical calculations; stay current with regulatory requirements and industry guidelines as applicable.
  • Certifications in field: OSHT, CHST, CSP, licensed Asbestos Inspector, Air Sampling Technician (AST), Air Sampling Professional (ASP), Lead Inspector, and/or NIOSH 582(e), or the ability to obtain such certifications highly desirable.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including client presentations, technical reporting, and written proposals.
  • Strong project, personnel, and client management skills.
  • Willingness to perform marketing and develop new business relationships
  • Ability to multitask, maintain flexibility, travel periodically, and work independently with little supervision.
  • Ability to travel as necessary to complete duties.
  • Ability to utilize standard Microsoft Office suite software.
  • Possess physical strength, stamina and dexterity to perform site activities including field sampling and reconnaissance.
  • Experience with CADD a plus.
