Description

Under the direction of the Employment Resource Center Operations Manager, the Production Coordinator (PC) will support and facilitate contract fulfillment. The Production Coordinator will assist in the implementation of processes that positively impact safety, quality, cost control, efficiency, and the vocational training for individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Institute excellent customer communication to ensure fulfillment needs and quality assurance.
  2. Support inventory control (i.e. tracking, staging, logistics, and documentation of contract work).
  3. Complete daily reports (i.e. production and material movement sheets).
  4. Identify and implement processes and procedures that ensure on time delivery of products.
  5. Ensure efficient and effective processes and procedures that meet the productivity requirements including progressive workflow throughout the Employment Resource Center.
  6. Develop necessary tools, jigs, fixtures, and equipment for completing contract work.
  7. Assist in the development and documentation of production methods, quality control and record keeping methods.
  8. Participate in the development of production standards for individuals' piece work and staff hourly production.
  9. Identify and implement safety requirements and procedures.
  10. Support inter-departmental coordination of ERC production processes.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned.
 
Position Requirements

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals, co-workers and supervisors (verbal and written).
  • Ability to respond and work with individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Must encompass professional demeanor.
  • Ability to define problems and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret instructions, gain knowledge and have initiative.
  • Computer literate.
  • Ability to assess emergency situations and act in an appropriate and therapeutic manner.
  • Must possess social discernment to assess and understand other’s reactions and behaviors.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Required: Four (4) years verifiable work experience in a related field (i.e. production, warehouse, or distribution).
  • Required: Certified to operate forklift, pallet jack & hand truck within 30 days of hire.
  • Preferred: Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities.

  • Ability to tolerate stress and conduct tasks and successfully perform under critical deadlines.
