Assists the Corporate Controller and Accounting Manager in the execution of the organization’s accounting functions. Performs complex transactional accounting functions related to the general ledger. Reports on variances, assists in analyzing and correcting discrepancies, and recommends process improvements. Reconciles G/L accounts.
Summary of Essential Job Functions
Compiles and analyzes financial information to record transactions, prepare reports, review and verify accuracy.
Performing essential duties for month end close.
Assist with the preparation and review of company financial statements and statistical reporting.
Compiles data and prepares a variety of reports.
Reconciles complex general ledger accounts, including inventory.
Utilizes knowledge of internal controls to implement changes in accordance with GAAP.
Prepares journal entries as needed.
Prepares monthly reports and distributes as needed.
Reconciles industry specific transactions.
Supports audit functions performed by independent external auditors and internal auditors.
Posts journal entries.
Works with accounting systems as assigned.
Has working knowledge of entire balance sheet, and able to verify balances are accurate and complete.
Works with non-accounting personnel to implement procedural improvements and policies.
