Manufacturing Engineer, Equipment 

Description

• Provide manufacturing equipment and processes for new and existing projects to include PPAP readiness, FTQ commitments, cost and safety

• Provide technical engineering support for manual and automated equipment

• Provide electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic modifications to existing equipment to enhance safety, quality, and performance

• Provide manufacturing support on any shift, including weekends

• Provide on the job training to Maintenance and Production personnel

• Provide work instructions, process monitor setups

• Set-up spare parts, preventative maintenance instructions

This is a 2nd shift position.

 
Position Requirements
  • Troubleshooting of Sonic Staking, IR welding, Atlas Copco Screw Guns, Pneumatic and Hydraulic Presses, ABB/Fanuc Robots, Vibration Welding, Part Detection Devices (proximity sensors, lasers, photo eyes, light curtains)
  • Ability to troubleshoot Electrical, Pneumatic, and Hydraulic Circuits
  • Competent ability with computer programs (Excel, Word, Power Point, Auto Cad)
  • Effective problem solving skills – root cause and eliminate issues
  • Work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to lead and complete multiple projects simultaneously and under demanding situation
  • Strong degree of self-motivation and self-direction
  • Strong communication and documentation skills

PREFERRED

  • Familiarity with instrument panel and door panel manufacturing processes, systems, tools and materials
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
 
Education Requirement High School Diploma or equivalent with 3 years' experience required.
Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering preferred.
