Title: Business Analyst (Mid-Level)

Reports to: Chief Administrative Officer (Corporate Services)

Division/Department: Corporate Services (Primary), Operations & Business Development (Secondary)

Scope: Supports the Corporate Services group in meeting assigned project plans, objectives, and activities. Supports company Operations and Business Development efforts with duties as assigned.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Corporate Services (Primary)

  • Provides support and leadership as assigned to indirect/overhead supporting activities and resources in the corporate Accounting, Contracts Management, Finance, Human Resources, and Information Technology functions.
  • Assists with the planning and management of assigned tasks.
  • Analyzes financial and other data, including revenue, expenditure, and employment reports.
  • Provides support to Operations program control (cost, schedule, performance) goals, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Supports quality control, assurance, and improvement efforts and initiatives.
  • Helps prepare, document, and submit project deliverables.
  • Acts as a primary point of contact with internal staff members and contract-assigned employees.
  • Supports the interface and communication with Clients and industry partners as directed.
  • Collaborates with company indirect resources (Accounting, Finance, Human Resource, Information Technology, Security) to handle administrative, program control, and personnel related actions.
  • Supports with financial analysis and/or pricing analysis the recruiting activities needed to meet current operations staffing (replacement, expansion) activities and obligations.
  • Applies financial data analytical support and the production of data visualization products in support of project management oversight initiatives.
  • Acts as a primary point-of-contact for and works closely with third party providers of indirect services, support, and products - including bookkeeping, financial, human resources, payroll, and other compliance reporting deliverables.

Operations & Business Development (Secondary)

  • Provides pricing-related business opportunity analysis, qualification, and proposal coordination support.
  • Provides financial analysis-related support to the business expansion and new business development opportunity pipeline.
  • Supports business expansion and new business development proposal resourcing/staffing efforts with financial analysis.
  • Coordinates with industry Clients and partners with proposal pricing efforts on business development capture efforts and activities.
  • Provide proposal pricing development support to business re-compete, option year, expansion and/or new business development proposal efforts.

Work Location:

The Business Analyst will work from a new Eagle Systems and Services, Inc. corporate office being established in the Springfield area of Northern Virginia.

Desired Start Date/Month:

April 2019. An 'early' April 2019 start is preferred. Specific start date is negotiable.

Compensation:

Base Salary: $50,000 - 80,000. Final determination will be commensurate with skills and experience.

Position Requirements

Minimum Skills & Qualifications Required:

  • Educational Requirements: The ideal candidate should have either (1) a Bachelor’s degree in a related area with at least three years of related project management and/or administration experience; (2) an Associate’s degree in related area and at least six years of related project management experience; or (3) a High School Diploma/Equivalent and ten or more years of related project management experience.
  • Ability to comprehend, analyze, and evaluate available data to develop and implement feasible courses of action
  • Ability to motivate personnel to accomplish assigned missions.
  • Ability to originate, develop, and implement innovative concepts.
  • Ability to appropriately delegate responsibility and the authority necessary to carry out that responsibility.
  • Ability to comprehend and accomplish organizational objectives.
  • Ability to effectively manage time, labor hours, and other resources to ensure schedules and budgets are met.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong background, experience, and skill in using traditional computer software applications such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Excel.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with spreadsheets, and, in particular, with using and designing “formulas” in spreadsheets while working accurately with financial data.
  • Ideal candidate will have background and/or aptitude for using and/or becoming proficient in Data-oriented computer software applications in the data analytics, data management, and data visualization software application categories.

Special Physical/Work Conditions:

No special physical / work conditions in excess of lifting and/or moving traditional office supply boxes and/or personal office equipment such as a desktop computer monitor and/or printer.
