POSITION SUMMARY:

Provide Strategic Integration support to the Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC) Emergency Management Division (CXR) as part of a multidiscipline team that, collectively, will perform equipment acquisition, modernization, and sustainment; plans and publications management; education and training management; and support operations relative to the Air Force EM Program and career field (3E9X1).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide advisory and oversight in activities following the Air Force’s Continuous Process (CPI) Improvement method to facilitate improvements for projects
  • Facilitate standardized integrated process teams (IPTs), work groups, or other project teams
  • Facilitate Air Force Air Force EM Program and career field OTE improvement efforts using Air Force CPI problem solving [formerly known as AFSO21] to include Lean and Six Sigma techniques and must be able to use the practical problem-solving method/eight-step problem solving model to progress from assessment of current operations to measure results after improvements are made
  • Assist with the establishment of continuous processes to ensure AF Emergency Management and CBRN defense missions align with emerging threats and DOD strategic direction
  • Map, identify gaps/deficiencies/redundancies, and recommend efficiencies for all standard, operational work practices of all the AFCEC/CXR sections
  • Assist section leads in codifying and publishing standard work processes

POSITION REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in relevant discipline
  • Project Manager Professional (PMP) Certification
  • Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
  • 20 years of experience in (CBRN) defense and Air Force Emergency Management
  • United States Citizen
  • SECRET or interim clearance or must meet subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and meet eligibility requirements for secret clearance.


Desired Qualifications

  • Certification in one of the three levels of the Air Force Certified Emergency Manager Program
