Share Email Opening Title Application Developer  Description SUMMARY Implement efficient information systems and operations systems in support of core organizational functions. This individual will apply proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate and resolve systems issues in order to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES Assist in the development, and deployment of new application enhancements to existing applications, software and operating systems. Ensure compatibility and interoperability of in-house computing systems. Interact with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to help secure system-related products and services. Perform cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for proposed systems to aid management in making implementation decisions. Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems. Conduct research on hardware and software products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts. Provide guidance and support for other IT support groups as needed. Create and maintain documentation as it relates to system configuration, mapping, processes, and service records. Provide orientation and training to end users for all modified and new systems. Write clean scalable code working with Agile Development Methodology. Meet with systems owners and end users to identify business issues. Responsible for breaking down user requests and developing solutions to meet those needs. This includes estimating time for development tasks, end user acceptance and tracking on these solutions. #ind1   Position Requirements EDUCATION Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information science, computer information systems, or management information systems and/or equivalent work experience.   EXPERIENCE 5-7 years of work experience. 3+ years of work experience in one of the following languages: C#, Python, PHP, R, SQL, JSON, iOS, HTML Capability to learn knew programming languages as needed. Ability to understand and analyze business processes. Proven experience using technology to solve business challenges. Experience in server and systems integration. Strong desire to keep up-to-date on emerging trends in technology. Hands on experience with data center hardware and software troubleshooting. Strong business analysis and problem solving skills. Working knowledge of current hardware, protocols, and standards, including IP, NetApp storage, Cisco UCS, etc. Excellent understanding of organizational goals and objectives.
