Description

AstraZeneca is a global, innovation-driven biopharmaceutical business focusing on the commercialization of biologic prescription medicines. This full-time paid internship opportunity is for the summer of 2019.

We are seeking candidates who are working towards obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Biotechology Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or other relative Engineering degrees.

Objective of the Assignment:

To assist with GMP Equipment and Automation Commissioning and Validation.

Responsibilities:

Assisting with cGMP Validation of Manufacturing Equipment and Automation Systems This will include but is not limited to:

  • Writes validation protocols and reports.
  • Performs testing activities described in validation protocols including thermal studies, cleaning, process, equipment and utilities validation.
  • Writing cGMP documentation (protocols, reports, etc.)

Required Skills:

  • Working towards Biotechology, Biochemical, Process or Engineering Degree.
  • MS Office skills including: Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Good technical writing skills.
  • Strength in creativity and reasoning
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0+

 
Position Requirements

To participate in the AstraZeneca Intern Program,

Students must meet the following eligibility criteria:
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
• Enrollment in a full-time undergraduate or graduate program, returning to the academic program following AstraZeneca assignment
• Minimum grade point average of 3.0
• At least 18 years of age prior to the scheduled start date
