ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THE POSITION:

  • Assists guest with check-in process at the Hotel in a courteous and polite manner.

  • Assist guest with checkout in an efficient and timely manner.

  • Ensures that the check-in and check-out process is handled in accordance with company policy by processing cash, credit card and credit transactions accurately, thus protecting the company’s assets.

  • Works with the Bell Staff, Valet, and Housekeeping, to ensure a high level of guest service.

  • Maintains a working knowledge of the Company’s property, as well as special events on and near property, in order to advise guest of the same, whenever possible.

  • Responds to guest requests, complaints or inquiries courteously and promptly.

  • Enters changing reservation information into computer system.

  • Posts charges to guest accounts and processes payment of accounts.

  • Ensures a maximum level of service and satisfaction is achieved and maintained.

  • Operates Hotel switchboard and/or PBX.

  • Prepares shift cash report, balancing payments and disbursements with computer total, preparing the drop envelope for shift end, and balancing of accounts.

  • Is knowledgeable (cross-trained) in other positions within the Hotel.

  • Displays a high level of maturity, discretion, tact, judgment and the ability to deal with confidential matters.

  • Held accountable, for the control, accuracy and thoroughness of all records and reports.

  • Any and all other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must possess excellent communication skills; Previous hotel experience preferred.

  • Must be able to demonstrate all aspects of hospitality, professionalism, prompt and courteous service, positive demeanor in stressful situations, and attention to detail at all times..
