ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THE POSITION:
Assists guest with check-in process at the Hotel in a courteous and polite manner.
Assist guest with checkout in an efficient and timely manner.
Ensures that the check-in and check-out process is handled in accordance with company policy by processing cash, credit card and credit transactions accurately, thus protecting the company’s assets.
Works with the Bell Staff, Valet, and Housekeeping, to ensure a high level of guest service.
Maintains a working knowledge of the Company’s property, as well as special events on and near property, in order to advise guest of the same, whenever possible.
Responds to guest requests, complaints or inquiries courteously and promptly.
Enters changing reservation information into computer system.
Posts charges to guest accounts and processes payment of accounts.
Ensures a maximum level of service and satisfaction is achieved and maintained.
Operates Hotel switchboard and/or PBX.
Prepares shift cash report, balancing payments and disbursements with computer total, preparing the drop envelope for shift end, and balancing of accounts.
Is knowledgeable (cross-trained) in other positions within the Hotel.
Displays a high level of maturity, discretion, tact, judgment and the ability to deal with confidential matters.
Held accountable, for the control, accuracy and thoroughness of all records and reports.
Any and all other duties as assigned.
Must possess excellent communication skills; Previous hotel experience preferred.
Must be able to demonstrate all aspects of hospitality, professionalism, prompt and courteous service, positive demeanor in stressful situations, and attention to detail at all times..
