Description

Dassault Falcon Jet one of the most sought after brands in business aviation, has an exciting career opportunity for Captain located in our headquarters in Little Ferry, New Jersey. Captain is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of Dassault Falcon Jet aircraft on flights when assigned as Pilot in Command (PIC) all operational and associated administrative functions of the DFJ Teterboro Flight Department.

Responsibilities

  • Act as PIC on world-wide executive and pilot demonstration flights when assigned;
  • Act as PIC on world-wide customer support flights and Jump Seat Support flights when assigned;
  • Act as PIC on Ferry Flights of green Falcons from Bordeaux to Little Rock when assigned;
  • Act as PIC on formation and photo flights;
  • Act as Lead PIC on multi-plane assignments including air shows and formation photo ops;
  • Assure that all items necessary for safe, efficient flight are accomplished by self or through delegation to crew;
  • Responsible for safety and security of aircraft and crew on all flights for which he/she is designated Pilot in Command;
  • Responsible for safety, security and comfort of all passengers while aboard company aircraft;
  • Responsible for quality of all demonstration flights for which he/she is designated Pilot in Command;

Required Qualifications

  • Airline Transport Pilot Certificate
  • Current First Class FAA Medical Certificate
  • Type Ratings in all current production Falcons
  • 8 years experience in corporate aviation
  • 1 year experience as a Captain
  • 5 year experience in DFJ Flight Operations, Teterboro
  • 1000 hours in current production Falcon aircraft
  • 800 hours as a flight crew member in international flying
  • International experience as SIC on DFJ flight assignments
  • Successful completion of International Operations course
  • Thorough understanding of relevant Federal Aviation Regulations
  • Flight Instructor Certificate (CFI, CFII & MEI)
  • Formation experience with DFJ Senior Captain

NOTE: Qualifications may be modified by the Chief Pilot, Operations or the Director, Flight Operations

Additional Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree;
  • Type ratings in out of production Falcon models;
  • Military Flight Training;
  • Flight Instructor Certificate (CFI, CFII, & MEI);
  • Formation Flight Training.

  • Attend professional meetings / conferences as directed;
  • Perform collateral duties as assigned by Chief Pilot, Operations, Chief Pilot, Technical, or Director, Flight Operations
 
Position Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • FAA Multi-engine ATP pilot’s license.
  • 2000 hours PIC (Pilot-in-Command) flight time in fixed wing aircraft.
  • 1000 hours PIC flight time in turbine aircraft, 500 hours in Falcon aircraft or 400 hours while operating as SIC (Second-in-Command) within Dassault Falcon Jet Flight Operations.
  • Possess or able to obtain FAA First Class Medical Certificate
  • Possess skills and judgment required to advance to PIC in Falcon Jets within one year.

  • Falcon Jet Type Ratings and experience
  • Military Test Pilot School Graduate
  • Aerospace Engineering Degree
  • Other engineering degrees or experience
