Description

Valley CSB is seeking an experienced Kitchen Support Specialist who will be responsible for oversight and monitoring of the kitchen, including supervision and training to ensure residents with developmental, intellectual, and physical disabilities are served nutritious meals that are in compliance with licensing regulations as well as the dietician, physicians, and nursing recommendations. The Kitchen Specialist purchases food and stock, prepares meals and snacks, and cleans kitchen and dining areas. The candidate will assure kitchen staff are trained on proper food preparation and licensing/certification requirements and kitchen safety techniques are followed.

 
Position Requirements

The candidate must possess effective communication, strong organizational skills, and have the ability to work effectively within a team to ensure success in this position. Experience in following dietary plans and working with individuals with disabilities is a plus. Work schedule will primarily be evenings with some morning and daytime hours as well as rotating weekends; however, the candidate must be flexible to meet program needs. High School diploma or equivalent is required. Food safety certification and supervisory experience are highly desirable.
