Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Operations Supervisor, this position is responsible for; leading and directing their assigned crew from any of the Avionics Shops (avionics, electric, wire) in completion of their scheduled tasks, meeting the schedule for their assigned project taking all necessary action to be sure the project is delivered to the customer on time and within budget, completing all work in accordance with the project specifications and for communication with the Project Manager regarding the progress of the work.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Ensures that the entire crew represents the Company, presenting a professional manner and appearance in day to day contact with customers, guests, and co-workers.

Communicates with Project Manager to acquire approval for any additional work, costs or overtime prior to accomplishing work.

Ensures complete communications to all shifts working on the project.

Supervise and train Avionics, Electric and Wire technicians to insure smooth, efficient workflow.

Instruct technicians in proper procedures and techniques of installing and troubleshooting systems, and performing routine inspections and preventive maintenance.

Recommends specialized training to the Avionics Manager for members of the assigned crew.

Maintain a current knowledge of aircraft factory mods, service bulletins, inspection schedule requirements, vendor information and all other procedures, publications and general information pertaining to the aircraft and avionics equipment installed.

Recommends tooling and equipment to increase productivity reduce costs and enhance safety to the Avionics Manager.

Reviews workscope with Avionics Manager and project Manager prior to aircraft arrival to ensure accurate and complete understanding of the tasks to be accomplished. Seeks out missing or incomplete information as required.

Notifies Avionics Manager of major discrepancies/difficulties.

Reviews material requirements prior to aircraft arrival, working closely with Material Handling personnel to set priorities and ensure on time arrivals while minimizing costs. Ensures warranty and exchange items are handled correctly.

Plan, schedule and be responsible for the accomplishment of tasks required on assigned aircraft in order to meet schedule and to provide required status report and progress schedule to the Avionics Manager.

Coordinate efforts of Maintenance, Design, Engineering, Quality Control, Avionics, Electrical, Wire, Modifications, Paint, Interiors, and Material Handling on assigned projects.

Reviews the progress of each task daily, monitoring the budgeted hours and materials, recommending corrective action as necessary to remain within budgets.

Notifies Avionics Manager of negative variances on progress of project as soon as projected or known.

Inspects work accomplished by members of the assigned crew.

Ensure that all "corrective action" recorded on the work orders fully records action taken by Dassault Falcon Jet-Wilmington personnel.

Ensures that all work performed is to Dassault Falcon Jet-Wilmington's quality and F.A.A. airworthiness standards.

Works closely with Quality Control.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

A & P/ FCC license preferred

At least five (5) years direct experience on corporate/business turbojet aircraft.
