Description

Under the supervision of the Operations Supervisor, this position is responsible for meeting the schedule for the assigned project taking all necessary action to be sure this project is delivered to the customer on time and within budget, with all work completed in accordance with the specifications; for communications with the customer regarding the progress of the work, and for leading and directing the assigned crew on all shifts in completion of their scheduled tasks.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Ensures that the entire team represents the Company, presenting a professional manner and appearance in day to day contact with customers, guests, and co-workers.

Communicates with customer to acquire approval for any additional work, costs or overtime prior to accomplishing work.

Ensures complete communications to all shifts working on the project.

Supervise and train aircraft technicians to insure smooth, efficient workflow.

Instruct technicians in proper procedures and techniques of troubleshooting systems, and performing routine inspections and preventive maintenance.

Maintain a current knowledge of aircraft factory mods, service bulletins, inspection schedule requirements, vendor information and all other procedures, publications and general information pertaining to the aircraft or aircraft group assigned.

Reviews workscope with customer and team prior to aircraft arrival to ensure accurate and complete understanding of the tasks to be accomplished. Seeks out missing or incomplete information as required. Notifies Operations Manager of major discrepancies/difficulties.

Reviews material requirements prior to aircraft arrival, working closely with Material Handling personnel to set priorities and ensure on time arrivals while minimizing costs. Ensures warranty and exchange items are handled correctly.

Meets aircraft on arrival greets customer and insures that all customer needs are fulfilled for his/her stay. Schedules and conducts arrival debriefing with appropriate work center representative.

Plan, schedule and be responsible for the accomplishment of tasks required on assigned aircraft on all shifts in order to meet schedule and to provide required status report and progress schedule to the customer and to the Operations Manager.

Coordinate efforts of Maintenance, Design, Engineering, Quality Control, Avionics, Electrical, Paint, Interiors, and Material Handling.

Plans and assigns work schedules and shifts to the assigned team, taking all necessary action to be sure that work on the assigned aircraft(s) is completed on time and within budget.

Makes changes to schedules, assignments, and shifts for all members of assigned team as required to accommodate changes to workscope or customer needs.

Is on hand to deliver aircraft to customer and wish him/her a safe trip.

Follows up after delivery to verify customer satisfaction and resolve any disputes on invoice.

Reviews the progress of each task daily, monitoring the budgeted hours and materials, taking immediate corrective action as necessary to remain within budgets. Notifies Operations Manager of negative variances as soon as projected is known.

Inspects work accomplished by members of the assigned team.

Ensure that all "corrective action" recorded on the work orders fully records all action taken by Dassault Falcon Jet-Wilmington personnel.

Ensures that all work performed is to Dassault Falcon Jet-Wilmington's quality and F.A.A. airworthiness standards. Works closely with Quality Control.

Reviews the accuracy of daily labor charging to the work order by all support groups involved in the project.

Assists in estimating and cost information gathering as required.

Other duties as required.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

A & P license

At least five (5) years direct experience on corporate/business turbojet aircraft.

Proven ability to lead and direct aircraft technicians and mechanics.

Ability to organize and assign technical work and follow up complex projects.

Proven ability to work and communicate effectively with managers, supervisors, technicians, and customers in a business-like manner.
