Cambridge Management, Inc. is looking for a Human Resources Generalist who will be responsible for a variety of responsibilities which require a broad understanding of HR functions. This HR generalist will primarily have responsibilities in employee relations, leave management, and HRIS system implementation & maintenance.

Essential Functions

  • Partners with employees and management to communicate various human resource policies, procedures, laws, standards and government regulations.
  • Coordinates new hire enrollment into benefits and processes updates for existing employees
  • Processes new hire paperwork including I-9s,and E-Verify.
  • Creates and maintains new hire files
  • Represents the company for any unemployment claims.
  • Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment
  • Administers the company-wide leave program for FMLA, STD, LTD, and Workers Compensation including tracking and reporting, in accordance with various state requirements
 
Position Requirements

Experience and Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree with emphasis in Human Resources or related field preferred
  • 5+ years’ of work experience in a HR capacity
  • PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification highly desired
  • Experience using Ascentis HR highly desired
  • Multi state experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state and local laws
  • Familiarity with WA, CA, SD, FL, and HI laws preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Proficiency with MS office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Must be able to build and maintain trust at all levels, protect and preserve confidential information
  • Ability to prioritize under pressure and meet deadlines while managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
