Job Summary

This position is responsible for directing Delta Western, Northern Oilfield Solutions and Inlet Energy HR generalist functions including recruiting, employee relations, onboarding, benefits, training, driver qualifications, HR information system, employee leave, and accommodation requests.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

Administers various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel and assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures. Communicates basic personnel guidelines and policies to employees.

Performs benefits administration (medical, dental, prescription, FSA, HSA, life, ltd and eap) to include enrollments and changes. Confirms each employee receives the SPD. Works with benefits provider to update open enrollment brochures and employee training.

Manages 401(k) enrollments. Updates PSW website, resolves errors. Prepares and participates in annual 401(k) audit.

Conducts recruitment for all levels of personnel, writes and places advertisements, prescreens and interviews candidates, checks references and coordinates pre-employment processes. Develops and maintains labor pool opportunities. Networks with industry colleagues.

Develops and continually updates new hire orientation PowerPoint presentations, new hire paperwork, and employee communications. Conducts onboarding to include new employee orientations, new hire paperwork, benefits enrollment, new hire HRIS set-up, LMS set-up and enrollment in online training.

Coordinates FMLA, leave of absences and ADA accommodation requests.

Develops, maintains and submits the Affirmative Action, EEO-1, Vets 100, drug testing, FAA/Alaska Airlines, and other required regulatory reports and logs.

Maintains all personnel records and files as well as maintains the Company HR Information system/software. Coordinates personnel information and payroll changes with payroll.

Develops and maintains job descriptions for all employees and positions.

Maintains DOT Driver Qualification files including DOT required annual driving record review and insurance updates. Create Driver Qualification files for new drivers to meet DOT regulations.

Assists in disciplinary matters and employee recognitions.

Conducts employee exit interviews, documents and reports information as applicable.

Administers the salary administration and performance review program to ensure compliance and effectiveness. Participates in market salary surveys as applicable.

Updates facility employment posters.

Coordinates employee worker comp claims.

Responds to unemployment requests and represents the Company in unemployment hearings as necessary.

Participates in Safety Committee Meetings.

Stays current on federal, multi-state, and city laws and maintains compliance for changes that affect employment.

Independently travel to a variety of locations to visit the facilities hands-on.

Assists the NorthStar HR Director in Company and HR initiatives and projects.

Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or Business, and five years HR Management experience or training, or a combination of education and experience.

Certificates, Licenses & Registrations:

Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and SHRM-SCP required

Valid Driver’s License


Independent travel to remote Alaska locations may be required occasionally.
