This full-time paid internship opportunity will take place during the summer of 2019. We are seeking candidates who are working towards obtaining a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or other relative science majors. Overview of the Assignment: The objectives of this position include assessing hydrophobicity of therapeutic proteins with chromatography and spectroscopy methods and evaluating the correlation between the measured hydrophobicity and aggregation propensity. Responsibilities: The primary duties of the position are: perform laboratory experiments acquire raw data, record the data and experiments, draw proper conclusions and present the results with supports from supervisor. Required Skills: The candidate should have good training in recording life science experiments and basic laboratory skills, able to pay attention to details and have great interest in analytical chemistry/therapeutic proteins.   Position Requirements We are seeking students working toward an advanced degree in or Chemistry, Physics or Chemical Engineering. The ideal candidate should have: • Good documentation skills • Laboratory experience utilizing sound scientific principles • Excellent written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills • Proficient in MS office software • Ability to work onsite in Gaithersburg, MD To participate in the AstraZeneca Intern Program, Students must meet the following eligibility criteria: • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. • Enrollment in a full-time undergraduate or graduate program, returning to the academic program following AstraZeneca assignment • Minimum grade point average of 3.0 preferred • At least 18 years of age prior to the scheduled start date   Full-Time/Part-Time -unspecified-   Location Gaithersburg, MD   This position is currently not accepting applications.
