Responsibilities include the installation and maintenance of our Fiber Optic and Telecommunication network and customer premise equipment. DUTIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT NOT NECESSARILY BE LIMITED TO: Provide Fiber Splicing and Testing of drops, splitters and fiber closures. Become familiar with all facilities of the local exchange distribution network. Provide the installation and testing of residential and business communications equipment from the central office to the address. Provide installation and testing of copper and fiber. Install protectors and Fiber ONT's. Work with test equipment. Customer Relations Working with Contractors Other duties as assigned.   Position Requirements MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Two years fiber optical splicing experience. State of WA Low Voltage 06 Certification, preferred. Cisco or comparable network certifications, preferred. Ability to maintain an excellent attendance record. Ability to work overtime as required and travel to job and training sites as required. Ability to perform assigned work without supervision. Possess strong dexterity and hand-eye coordination; ability to distinguish colors Ability to be a Team player. Ability to respond and interact in a positive manner to customer issues. Ability to communicate (speaking and writing) in English in a clear and easily understood manner. Basic computer skills Knowledge of basic networking principals. Must be available to work nights, weekends and be on-call. Valid WA State driver’s license and insurable driving record. Pre-employment and on-going drug screens required.
