Human Resources Intern (Summer 2019)

Job Summary

The Human Resources Intern will gain exposure to Human Resources systems and processes in support of the Pittsburgh Pirates Human Resources team. The Human Resources Intern will learn various Human Resources support functions through a hands on internship experience.


  • Assist with seasonal recruitment needs including phone calls, follow up with candidates and onboarding support.
  • Maintain all personnel files in both paper and electronic formats. Scan and upload employee file documents on a weekly basis.
  • Assist staff with employee Self-Service questions and support issues.
  • Assist with benefits related mailings, audits & special projects.
  • Assist with preparation of paperwork for June draft.
  • Complete employment verifications.
  • Assist with HR administrative functions including, scanning, filing, mailings, supply orders, etc.
  • All other duties assigned by Director, Human Resources.
Position Requirements
  • Must be a junior, senior or graduate level
  • Human Resources or related major
